The RESTORE Research Group at Western University seeks a post-doctoral fellow to work in an integrated project that will assess the impact of groundwater-lake interactions on the fate of nutrients and pathogens at beaches of the Great Lakes. This collaborative research project involves a multi-disciplinary team of researchers from RESTORE, the Ecohydrology Research Group and Environment Canada’s National Water Research Institute.

The project will combine intensive field studies on Great Lake beaches with innovative laboratory investigations and advanced numerical modeling. A postdoctoral fellow is sought to lead the numerical modeling component of this project. Applicants should have experience in numerical groundwater, colloid transport and/or reactive transport modeling. They must have a PhD in a relevant discipline and publications in highly respected international journals.

The successful candidate will work in cutting-edge research groups and institutes. The RESTORE Research Group (http://www.eng.uwo.ca/research/restore/) was recently awarded over $6 M to conduct field, experimental and modelling investigations focused on groundwater issues. It is a dynamic research group that includes 20 graduate students, 6 postdoctoral fellows and three laboratory technicians.
