DESCRIPTION:
Education: PhD in Environmental Engineering, microbiology, or related field. Experience: Applicants should have a strong background in environmental engineering with laboratory experience. Needed skills include familiarity with molecular techniques, instrumental analysis, and culturing microorganisms. Must have ability to conduct and direct research tasks, prepare research proposals, make technical presentations, and publish results. Duties: Conduct research in the areas of biodegradation of synthetic and natural organic compounds at lab, pilot and field scales. Travel to sites undergoing bioremediation studies may be required.
